Daily Duties at Camber Corporation:

I was originally hired tp perform Advanced Mechanical Diagnostics and monitoring systems analysis for U.S. Navy helicopters. This entailed cleaning and analyzing vibration and other data continuously collected on every operating Navy H-53 helicopter around the world. I first created a proof of concept demonstration for the Navy's program office, then worked with maintenance leads to define the objectives and approach of the program. I defined the data collection requirements, directed data cleansing operations, developed vibration monitoring models utilizing advanced commercial applications and delivered multiple presentations to military staff demonstrating the program capabilities. Following the demonstrations, I was brought onto the team as a consultant and the company was later awarded a follow-on contract with additional funding for more research. I supported 2 other contracts in similar data analytics roles including logistics forecasting for U.S. Navy fixed wing aircraft and U.S. Navy ships and submarine maintenance availability tracking. - Team Lead for the development and implementation of the transition and continuous training plan for the MQ-1 Predator Maintenance program. Integral part of the company’s entry into Unmanned Systems Support work. - System Matter Expert for diagnostics and predictive maintenance applications involving the modeling of mechanical systems. Knowledgeable in propulsion machinery and support equipment on ships, submarines, fixed and rotary-winged aircraft. - Developed models for the analysis of component vibration and initiation of condition-based maintenance of rotary winged aircraft. - Performed analysis of Advanced Mechanical Diagnostics System flight data collected on H-53 helicopters for component vibration monitoring model development and capabilities demonstration. Defined the data requirements, directed the data collection efforts, cleaned and processed the data files, and performed data quality control checks to insure accurate and efficient modeling.

What they like about Camber Corporation:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
