Daily Duties at Ausley Associates:

I was hired to relocate assets from a failed business venture in WA state to Austin, TX and establish a new business in an adjacent market. I was personally recruited by the Vice President of Strategic Development, an individual who I had worked with at Camber Corporation, and routinely worked directly with the CEO on strategy matters. The CEO gave me significant latitude to pursue business in areas I was interested in as long as it would result in near-term revenue and had reasonably good upside revenue and profit potential. Additionally, the CEO tasked me with looking for other business opportunities in the market and embraced our development of process improvement applications for enterprise sales. I was not given a specific budget but trusted to use my best judgement regarding purchases and staffing matters providing that they were necessary for me to continue building the business. Personal accomplishments include national accreditation for unmanned flight operations in first year, immediate contract wins and industry recognition at an international convention, and the development of an enterprise level SaaS product and initial sales to Global 2000 customers - directly contributing to a higher valuation just prior to company acquisition by MAG Aerospace.

You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there.
