Daily Duties at Proofpoint:
Senior Sales Engineer assigned to the TOLA region (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas) under the 'Named Enterprise' account team. I supposed 4 Account Managers, 1 Senior Sales Engineering Manager, and 1 Regional Sales Director. My primary responsibility was to learn the Proofpoint product portfolio, the company message, qualify opportunities with the Account Managers, and deliver successful technical POCs that proved our solutions were superior than the customers' incumbents. Typically, the POCs would last approximately 30 days, but that was based upon the Project Plan and Success Criteria, which we established with the customer ahead of time. We worked primarily through SalesForce to keep detailed notes on the progress of the deal(s) that were in the pipeline.
