Daily Duties at Teradata:
Administer a ~1 Petabyte Analytics cluster across 500+ users overseeing upgrades, migrations, and system expansion efforts. Partner with third-party professional services to facilitate client training on analytics platform. Collaborate cross-departmentally to manage data migration efforts from external sources into the Teradata Aster platform to enable critical analysis. Serve as a consultant and advisor for stakeholders to various business groups on the utilization of SQL-MapReduce analytics, database design, SQL tuning, and ETL/TLT process development. Oversee communication on planned migrations and upgrades. Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance risk management and ROI. Manage escalations, incident response, and remediation of issues. Accountable for the upgrades and enhancement of 52-server Linux cluster. Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to an offshore team.
