Daily Duties at The Wooden Floor:
The Executive and Artistic Director in conjunction with the Board of Directors is responsible for leading The Wooden Floor in the successful achievement of its mission while continuing to evolve and strengthen its organizational vision and community impact. The EAD has principal responsibility and oversight for the administrative, financial and operational well-being of The Wooden Floor and ensures that the company provides the greatest possible level of programmatic support to The Wooden Floor students and families in a fiscally sound manner. The EAD educates The Wooden Floor’s constituencies and the broader community to appreciate and support excellence in the arts and the value of arts training as a tool for social change. The EAD engages the larger community and is primarily responsible for fundraising strategy, strategic planing, overseeing 16 full time staff and 15 part time staff and 75 volunteers.
