Daily Duties at Independent Contractor:
Providing soup to nuts delivery of networking infrastructure for 25th Signal in Afghanistan. Working through Integrated Directives Inc., engaged with the Design and Project Management for team in Afghanistan to install network infrastructure for a dual fiber backbone ring being installed at the Bagram Air Force Base. • In country Project Lead for IDI team for a successful deployment in Afghanistan. • Design Engineer for end user building cabling infrastructure. • Network Designer for providing new end users with connectivity to legacy network. • Network Engineer for configuring network equipment for test and production of new end users. Dimension Data Working at BB&T, provided a completely functional replica of BB&T’s Network. Designed and configured Network Infrastructure for testing by the VOIP engineers for BB&T’s Next Generation Network solution. Provided branch office functionality in multiple labs for future testing specifically related to BB&T’s Business needs. BB&T was a complete Cisco environment. • Racked and configured a total of 22 6506s 4 6509s and 2 6513s and 2 3750s for a Functional Lab. • Configured 4 3745s, 2 2821s, 6 3750s, and 2 3560s for Branch office functionality. • Worked with Cisco and Verizon to provide Branch to Branch and Branch to Core connectivity with MPLS. • Provided support for BB&T staff for the Labs.
