Purchase natural gas for utility. Develop the annual strategic (5 year) plan for commodity purchases, and justify the cost passed through to customers in the annual gas cost reconciliation ("GCR") through direct testimony before the Michigan Public Service Commission. Encourage and implement industrial end-use customer transportation program with deregulation of interstate pipelines. Monitor all federal proceedings related to deregulation of the natural gas industry, and their impact on the utility. Recommend actions and interventions as required.
