Daily Duties at Fabuwood Cabinetry :

Involved actively in preparing design documents, deployment plans, deploy the code in various environments. Involved in Manage Database Administration (DBA) Team, coordinating off-hours support Involved Coordinating the installation, upgrading and patching of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) systems. Oversee database monitoring, tuning and optimization Capacity planning for all database environments. Control user database access and data security Worked with application and system architects and subject matter experts to evaluate the logical data models and design physical database structure; evaluate the impact of proposed changes to the physical database; represent DBA Team in Change Control meetings Direct the physical schema design, including primary indexes and referential integrity constraints Provided leadership in developing database standards and procedures. Establish benchmark criteria for evaluating alternate database products. Function as technical liaison for database-related project activities; provide on-call support Participate in code reviews, define standards, recommend and establish policies. Evaluate hardware and software requirements; provide justifications for purchase decisions Configured and tune hardware and software to ensure optimum performance and resource utilization Conducted database development for all new projects, automation of procedures and schedule jobs on servers Resolved database and application related issues; apply new patches, keep the environment up to date, fix SQL code related bugs and reinstall applications to ensure software is working properly Reviewed application and query needs to assure efficient designs are implemented. Develop and implement backup/recovery and purge/archive strategies Managed relationship with major software vendors and consultants Select, develop, and evaluate staff to ensure the efficient operation of department Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management Met performance standards including attendance and punctuality Closely worked with development teams for mundane performance issues. Create the cluster and non-cluster indexes to increasing the performance of queries as per the MS recommendation. Regularly Monitored and manage space issues on SQL databases. Regular basis analysis and Grant/ revoke read, write accesses on stored procedures, functions, tables and database objects. Involved in Weekly Releases and handle all the Change Controls during the releases. Experiencing a new role of Database Architect in Setting up Cluster MS SQL Server 2016, Also Data Migration from MS SQL server 2000/2005/2008R2 to MS SQL 2016. Extensive Experience with Clustering setup 2016 and Always On setup with two nodes failover Active\Passive. Maintaining SQL 2016 databases in SAN and Cluster Server Environment. Manage Physical and Virtual environments for Web Based and Standalone apps Create robust Backup and Restore policies and procedures including the file backup and EMC Networker Backup and snapshot. Using the Agile scrum methodologies for all the projects and extensive usage of TFS for project tracking. Work Hand in Hand with Developers for builds and releases. Promoting the code changes in DEV\QA\UAT Env. Refreshing the DEV\QA\UAT Environment with new data. Updating and Regular promoting the Team with New features upgraded with all the versions of SQL Management studio also making sure changes are documented. involved in createing a Central repository of all the environments Server details with Hard copy also available handy. This helps the team members with limited permissions on server. Mentoring any new team members to make them comfortable in Environment. Team works is appreciated but if needed kick start my own work with minimal help. Documentation of all the changes implemented and also for Team members as a standard company policy. Maintaining the inventory as per the changes in environments. Maintaining the Master List created and managed by me for the Team. 24/7 Production supports if needed. Environment: MS SQL Server 2017/2016/2014/2012/2008 R2/2005, Oracle, Windows 2012/2008R2, VERITAS Net Backup,TSQL, Litespeed, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Clustering, Mirroring, Log Shipping, Microsoft Visual SourceSafe 6.0,Microsoft Office Visio 2007
