Daily Duties at Career Quest Learning Center Jackson:

Legal Secretary Diploma & Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies & Associate of Applied Science in Medical Office Administration & Administrative Assistant Diploma & Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration, Career Quest Learning Center – Jackson Campus • Instruct students in the following legal classes: Law Office Technology, Legal Terminology, American Legal System & Constitutional Law, Civil Administrative Law, Torts, Lex Law & Research, Bankruptcy, Legal Writing Communication, and Medical Law & Ethics • Instruct students in the following business classes: College Concepts, Introduction to Computers, MS Word, Business Office Skills, Business Communication, MS Excel, QuickBooks, Customer Service, Desktop Presentations, and Project Management • Serves as Lead Faculty Member for the Legal Secretary and Paralegal programs for the Jackson & Lansing campuses • Serves as the Lead Faculty Member for the Business program for the Jackson campus • Participation in department, campus, and college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes • Participates in curriculum and course development, tutoring and advising students, and mentoring and reviewing colleagues • Created a daily, weekly, and yearly systematic task list for Instructors that was implemented across all four campuses • Maintains a working knowledge of fields of Instruction through continued training in the disciplines of law and business as well as teaching methods • Develops and maintains contacts with industry employers to stay current on training needs and industry developments
