Daily Duties at County Of El Dorado:

Oversees a high performing division responsible for negotiations, grievance arbitration, and policy administration. Provides and promotes expertise to senior leadership on Human Resources issues such as contract interpretation, performance management, and benefits administration. Drives and manages improvement initiatives through the development of realistic and actionable plans. Facilitates staff training and administers the disciplinary process for the organization.Establishes strategic human resource objectives and aligns policies and procedures to ensure success. Utilizes negotiation, conflict resolution, and mediation skills to effectively manage conflict and oppositional views between management, unions, and employees. Maintains up to date knowledge in labor relations, salary administration, and fringe benefits by collecting, and analyzing various data sources. Reviews insurance policy provisions to determine organizational risk. Represents the department at county meetings and community events with businesses, individuals, and regulatory authorities.
