Daily Duties at Gem Technology:
Access Control Specialist – Monitored Close Circuit Televisions (CCTVs), performed guard duty and patrol duties as designated by maintaining appropriate automated and manual logs, journals and computer databases. Responsible for providing security through the management of personnel access (to include domestic and foreign dignitaries) to restricted areas and facilitates. Work assignments included implementing, monitoring and operating FBI access control systems. Received, responded and directed emergency personnel, ensured the FBI access control security system processes, procedures and policies complied with the Executive Orders, DCID, FBI guidelines and all authoritative guideline and national standards. Formulated, planned and developed security improvements in the FBI’s existing access controls. Ensured that unauthorized individuals were prevented from accessing the FBI/Quantico and safeguarded the FBI facility against possible espionage, damage, theft and related threats.
