Led the firm’s internal audit consulting function in the banking practice, which provided an additional revenue stream to the traditional accounting firm. • Planned and scoped annual audit program including risk evaluation for clients’ engagement. Review scope with client’s management to obtain concurrence. • Prepare presentation and training materials. • Tested and evaluated the adequacy and effectiveness of the clients’ internal controls over financial reporting, operations and support functions and report to client management any control exceptions. • Provide meaningful recommendations to management on how to improve internal controls and governance process. • Planned and executed financial and operational audits per the annual audit plan within the established timeframe and budget. • Tested and evaluated the adequacy and effectiveness of the organization's system of internal control to ensure compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations. • Evaluated the effectiveness of controls in new systems and other business processes. • Provided management with recommendations, counsel and information to contribute to improved efficiency and effectiveness. • Prepared and presented audit reports to client management.
