Daily Duties at Mary Scott Nursing Center:

Fostered successful recruiting and business management initiatives by collaborating with the management team to increase employee engagement and positive changes across the company. Oversaw three human resources professionals in the recruitment and training of highly qualified nursing assistants, LPNs, RNs, physicians, and administrative support personnel. Transformed human resources policies and procedures and updated outdated job descriptions, employee handbooks, and annual evaluations to improve overall human resources services. Analyzed staffing needs, hiring trends, compensation data, recruiting data, and incentive data in addition to managing leave of absence programs and detailed personnel records. Sourced candidates through a wide variety of channels including resume databases, job boards, third-party recruiting firms, and referrals to identify highly-qualified professionals. Facilitated the employment process by screening applications, conducting interviews, making informed hiring recommendations, and conducting new hire orientation and training. Managed employee relations including workers compensation programs, conflict resolution, formal disciplinary proceedings, workplace investigations, exit interviews, and terminations as necessary. Facilitated professional development of human resources staff members by providing constructive feedback and incentives to motivate employees to improve and expand their skills. Worked closely with managers to develop Performance Improvement Plans for underperforming staff. Counseled and mentored staff members regarding any personal or professional needs and issues. Processed payroll for more than 200 employees.
