Second Line of Defense Compliance Subject Matter Expert for Small Business and Commercial business units. There were no findings from regulators during my tenure. Advised on compliance issues for business product development, process and system changes, and thereby ensuring compliance with banking regulations. Documented and evaluated risks and controls in the Bank’s Governance, Risk and Control system. Advised management on gaps observed in testing and self-identified issues, performed root-cause analyses and developed remediation plans. Developed and monitored key risk indicators. Provided input on Risk Profile reports. Credibly challenged Management’s risk assertions.
