Daily Duties at Us Dept Of Energy:

Staff member responsible for interaction with the DNFSB (a regulator-type agency responsible for providing input to DOE on nuclear facility safety) and providing input to DOE on a variety of high level of DNFSB issues and recommendations. Review and evaluate DNFSB recommendations, correspondence and communication, including DOE-wide responses. Assists DOE Program and Field Offices with the analysis, evaluation of, and proposed DOE responses to DNFSB issues, actions, and recommendations. Monitors and tracks assigned actions and informs impacted DOE Program and Field Offices while providing actions, seeking opportunities to improve proposed responses and providing independent evaluation/assistance to ensure DOE positions are complete, accurate and responsive to established DOE-wide positions and commitments. AU-1.1 works consistently with the highest levels of DOE and DNFSB management to keep them apprised of relevant issues and actions.
