Daily Duties at Ibm:

Managed projects within more than 70 complex data center technology consolidation programs involving multiple operating system, server, networking, and storage platforms. • Built and maintained Microsoft Project schedules, estimated staffing requirements and assigned work tasks to 10 direct reports and negotiated use of matrixed resources with Functional Managers. Adjusted milestones when necessary to align with changed program deadlines. • Selected methods and techniques for effective project delivery. Monitored task progress, controlled scope changes, prepared and implemented risk mitigation plans, swiftly identified and resolved issues and conflicts, communicated status to stakeholders, conducted earned value assessments, and ensured budget adherence. Ensured deliverables met defined quality standards. • Obtained senior level project management accreditation within IBM’s project management framework. • Identified cross-program dependencies and collaborated with other project managers to fulfill them. • Mentored junior project managers and conducted project maturity assessments to mitigate key risks. • Coordinated internal ISO audits resulting with IBM’s Global Technology Services organization maintaining its ISO certification. IBM’s Global Technology Services organization consisted of more than 150,000 professionals worldwide.
