Daily Duties at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center:
• Oversaw a combined departmental budget of $2.1 million dollars. • Responsible for IT/IS; Telecommunications, Informatics and Network Security. • Hired a new Systems Administrator and a new Network Administrator to achieve the complete staffing of the IT/IS Department. • Responsible for the planning, scheduling, coordination and implementation of the Successful Migration for the 3 Primary Servers and related hosted Virtual Servers as well as the Migration of all associated Data on December 18 – 19, 2015. • Responsible for establishing the IAM implementation for Data Transfer of CCD’s between CVRMC and National Headquarters for both Haven of Globe Nursing Home and Heritage of Globe Nursing Home to assure compliance with Objective 5 of Meaningful Use Stage 2. • Established initial contact with the IT Directors at San Carlos Indian Hospital, San Carlos AZ; Chandler Regional Hospital, Chandler AZ; St. Luke’s Medical Center, Phoenix AZ; Banner Heart Hospital, Mesa AZ; Banner Desert Medical Center, Mesa AZ and Banner Baywood Hospital, Mesa AZ to establish the ground work to do Electronic Transfer of CCD’s via CVRMC’s HISP (Inpriva). • Plan, develop and begin the implementation of the Windows 7 upgrade throughout CVRMC. • Review the 2012 and 2015 Security Rick Analysis, Develop and begin the Implementation of required corrections to secure Network Security issues to bring CVRMC into full compliance with Objective 1 of Meaningful Use Stage 2. • Nurture and improve the Vendor Relationship with Total Networks. • Nurture and improve lines of internal communication between the IT/IS Department and the Respective Departments of the hospital.
