Daily Duties at Turtle & Hughes Inc.:
As a job site Manager "Material Manager" (Jan 2011 - June 2014) Responsibilities included: Managed the inventory database and developed strategies to ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining established min/max inventory levels to support business objectives. Provided necessary documentation for materials being stored at the job site and obtained signature approvals the necessary departments personnel. Supervised the shipping and receiving of materials to and from the job site, along with properly storing inventory in the assigned storage units and storage yard. Generated Bills of Material and released purchase orders for stock replenishment and material needs for the client, while being cautious of the overall budget. Assisted in the cost of new material items. Coordinated logistics and transportation of materials. Inspected incoming material freight deliveries for accuracy and damages. Planned and forecasted materials by meeting with project superintendents and construction foreman. Invoiced completed purchase orders and maintained an accurate record keeping system of receipts of purchase. Responsibilities as an inside salesman and warehouse worker. Worked in warehouse shipping, receiving and export departments to gain knowledge of operations. Procurement of materials for order fulfillment from a variety of different vendors. Bidding commercial, industrial and project blanket bills of material by finding lowest available costs and applying competitive pricing mark-ups. Outsourced for material items for order fulfillment when Items were not in warehouse stock. Delivered great customer service and built strong vendor relationships.
