Daily Duties at Supplier Development And Performance Management:

Responsible for leading investigations and action plans to address suppliers that significantly impact Merck business due to schedule deviations and chronic performance issues. This includes development of risk mitigation strategies, implementation of supplier performance improvement initiatives, contingency planning, and supplier crisis management. Collaboration with sites and stakeholders with a focus on the continued development of a world-class supply base to partner with Merck's integrated network. Key Contributions: ♦ Built and implemented supplier management process by identifying KPI’s, establishing baseline performance and incorporating performance improvement methodologies through scorecard trend monitoring ♦ Developed and owned action plans and led cross functional teams focused on resolving poor performance related to critical care and high-risk suppliers, resulting in increased supplier performance. ♦ Incorporated six sigma methodology and leveraged quality tool such as GEMBA, FMEA, 8D to develop chronic poor performing suppliers and execute action plans that increase supplier delivery performance (OTIF) while ensuring continuity of supply throughout the network. ♦ Led Executive Level Supplier Relationship Management meetings (Quarterly and Monthly) with high risk suppliers to ensure transparent communication, communicate performance requirements and ensure stakeholder involvement. ♦ Partnered with Global Procurement through Strategic Sourcing Councils to drive category strategies that identify savings opportunities, increase supplier performance and ensure continuity of supply. ♦ Partnered with Site to ensure accurate iOTIF and OTIF data is captured and reported through the scorecard application. ♦ Traveled to Global Sites and Suppliers as necessary.
