School Improvement Network Work Values

Daily Duties at School Improvement Network:

I oversaw our 26 member production teams of writers, producers and editors. We traveled the country documenting best practices as well as other education trends. I hired, fired, and trained the team developing a robust procedures manual for the department, as well as annual reviews and balancing our personnel budget. I was a member of the company management team meeting weekly and monthly in leadership meetings and participating in strategy and planning of our content and for our company.

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
