Daily Duties at Verizon Communications:

I led a 200+ member call center team of management and union-represented associates. My functions included but are not limited to monitoring customer interactions, quality assurance, productivity, adherence to schedule, training, coaching, development, team supervision, process improvement, employee engagement, data analysis, human resource functions, budget management, and operations support. In addition, I also designed, trained and implemented the customer contact standard based upon the established set forth guidelines. By partnering with the training department, staff support, IT and the operations team, I was able to pin point success stories and areas of opportunities to strengthen the customer experience and provide consistency within the center contacts. I own end-to-end management development program geared to drive skills refinement, relationship building, and hands on experiences based upon analytical and quantitative data. Overall, I manage day to day operations in a call center environment providing guidance to exceed all metrics and to provide an exceptional customer experience.

What they like about Verizon Communications:

Working for a company with an emphasis on social values and helping society is a clear and important priority for you - a critical factor in who you choose to work for. In contrast to other factors, you place an organization's reputation for fairness and concern for the community above most other aspects of the company. As you search for a new job opportunity, it is usually possible to find out if the company is involved in the community and/or if it is addressing problems and issues in society. Pay special attention to non-profit organizations and those specifically involved in social action. Moreover, speaking with current and former employees should enlighten you to perceptions of the fairness of the company's leaders and the treatment of employees.
