Daily Duties at Pic N Pac Convenience Stores:

Managed $19MM in annual sales over 16 stores in the Seguin/Schertz/Cibolo Markets north and east of San Antonio. Managed and supervised the Price Book Administrator and Merchandiser. Developed the company’s Marketing Program on a bi-monthly cycle, focusing on both Supplier driven and in-house promotions. Coordinated with suppliers and manufacturers on the implementation of grocery, beer, beverage counter, non-alcoholic, and tobacco promotion plans, displays, merchandising, shelf placement and plan-o-gram changes. Implemented new and innovative sales programs and pricing structures, establishing line-item pricing for a number of categories, so like items had similar prices. Researched and implemented new plan-o-grams and best in class shelving across all locations; identified items with low movement, and mapped out each store shelving layout removing low movement items and replacing with the supplier’s higher moving items that were not previously stocked. Reset each store so customers would have easier time finding items and created 2-4 Impulse Purchase sections along high path areas, leading to a 1% growth in item movement and 2% increase in number of merchandise transactions. Planned, organized and executed a 2-day Grand Opening Event where 30+ suppliers and manufacturers promoted their products and grilled over 1,500 hot dogs in the launch of a new location. Managed multiple products within the plan-o-gram to maximize dollars per square foot; reviewed current movement every six months and realigned the plan-o-gram as necessary. Facilitated hindsight meetings and guided the application of lessons learned towards future product inventories and current business trends.
