Daily Duties at Us Dept Of Energy:

As a senior Staff Accountant of the Department of Energy (DOE) Internal Controls Division, my duties included the review, assessment, and comparative analysis of the internal control data and narrative being reported as Significant Deficiencies (SDs) from assigned Departmental Elements (currently 11 HQ units and 15 Field Offices). I used the DOE Financial Management Assessment (FMA) and Entity Assessment (EAT) tools to conduct analysis of 26 assigned Divisions and Sites – which includes all 17 DOE National Laboratories. I also provide input for the design, type, and category of risks (along with associated mitigating controls) as they are used in the DOE FMA tools, Corporate Risk Framework, and the new Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Risk Profiles

What they like about Us Dept Of Energy:

You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.
