Daily Duties at Tigua, I Nc.:

Responsible for a Department of 8 employees with duties such as financial statement compilation, taxes, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), contract management, payroll and travel expenses. I manage all accounting and finance functions for 1 parent corporation and 7 subsidiaries including contracting, construction, technology, retail, and trucking operations. Developed a mission statement, top priorities, and key performance metrics for the Department along with a new Financial Management Handbook (standard operating procedures). Designed and implemented new and supplemental internal controls over AP, AR, purchase and fuel cards, capital assets, and compliance matters. Helped guide the Department through the successful implementation of the Deltek Costpoint 7 Enterprise Resource Planning system and ADP (Automatic Data Processing) payroll systems, by conducting training and engaging on implementation plans. Conducted annual employee evaluations, issued guidance on self-assessments, and proposed individual development plans for all staff.
