Connetquot Swim Club Work Values

Daily Duties at Connetquot Swim Club:

• Established not-for-profit corporation. Set in place by-laws and an active Board of Directors to ensure future strength and stability of the Connetquot Swim Club. • Responsible for setting financial goals and plans in order to ensure sound fiscal performance. • Negotiated contracts with various vendors for on-site and off-site services. • Recruited, hired and developed professional coaching staff to lead athletes to achieve local, regional and national recognition. • Organized 3-4 fundraising efforts yearly, primarily swim meets with over 400 attending athletes requiring months of preparation, including (but not limited to) procuring a venue, securing USA Swimming certified officials, coordination and staffing of coaches, volunteers and vendors; securing permits, advertising and printing as well as full- service pop-up food service for over 1000 guests (athletes, coaches and spectators) for each swim meet. • Donated state of the art six lane timing system to Connetquot School District as a result of fundraising efforts. • Oversaw the development of a communication network that included a website, visual and written communication as well as a system of meetings and greater telecommunication in order to improve the strength and cohesiveness of the organization. • Instituted and secured a scholarship fund for graduating athletes. • Increased membership from 50 active members to over 140 active athletes. • Voting member of Metropolitan Swimming, local governing body of United States Swimming.
