Daily Duties at Connetquot School District Board Of Education:

• Developed, presented and approved the proposed ($132 million) budget for the ensuing school year to the public for annual vote • Proactively put in place recommendations for strong financial controls, checks and balances to insure the safety and integrity of public funds. • Recruited, interviewed and selected a district-wide leadership team including the Superintendent of Schools, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, Assistant Superintendent of Business and Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Personnel. • Successfully negotiated contracts between seven labor unions and the CCSD. • Oversaw the reconfiguration of the entire district while undergoing major construction as the rollout of a five-year $100 million-dollar bond project was underway. • Strategically placed administrators in key positions for optimal performance and service to the children and community at large. • Able to insure no cuts to children’s services or programs while dealing with the difficulty of a contingency budget. • Developed Middle School Accreditation Plan for Ronkonkoma Middle School – a two-year project which entailed examination of every aspect of the buildings’ services; from the main office to the classroom to the lunchroom. • Acted as a liaison between the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) and CCSD.
