Daily Duties at Ada Es:
Responsibilities: As an Engineer 1 for the Technical Services group I supported testing for mercury and acid gases at coal-fired power plants in the U.S. and Canada. Testing included the designing of chemical treatment by reaction potential from treatment rates of 2 [gal/hr] of aqueous solution, up to 2,000 [lb/hr] of dry sorbent; test set-up consisted of logistical project design for heavy, transportable equipment under hazardous conditions; test reporting included data analysis for project data acquired in comparison to plant data, before and concurrent to testing. As a Field Services Engineer for the Field Services Group I oversaw and assisted in the construction, installation and commissioning of permanent mercury removal systems at 25, U.S. power plants. Field Services included mechanical and electrical, quality inspection through manufacturing; client interface to insure installation and system automation requirements; commissioning and startup of new installations with electrical, mechanical and software troubleshooting and custom changes.
