Daily Duties at Zurich Na:

Recruited to the Specialist role by the Middle Market Director and reported directly to corporate headquarters in Schaumberg, IL while writing key service-driven deductible accounts for the Atlanta Region Middle Market Unit that did not fit the criteria for global accounts due to size or needs.  Directly oversaw large property accounts in addition to providing expert recommendations on a variety of pricing and underwriting operations for large property products for the team of underwriters.  Played a key role in the professional development of several underwriters by focusing on professional strengths instead of weaknesses.  Continued as the Underwriting Manager Construction directing a skilled team of 13 comprised of both underwriters and support staff focused on Casualty and Property offerings across the Southeast region.  Focused on providing top-level professional development opportunities for team members and optimizing performance by tailoring performance and ongoing improvement plans for each.  Wrote a high-volume of new accounts while partnering with key internal stakeholders to improve the delivery of Zurich's service and marketing message for the Southeast Construction industry.  Collaborated with senior management on establishing a vital market strategy for Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP) and Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIP) growth, pricing, and underwriting.  Created a series of management information reports that improved the effectiveness of underwriting evaluations and made it much easier to review metrics.
