Daily Duties at National Health Care Corporation:
Responsible for all legal matters including management of the Legal Department, Securities & Exchange Commission compliance, corporate compliance, corporate transactions, regulatory and litigation. I was also responsible for corporate finance and investor relations and legislation. NHC’s affiliates operate 77 long-term healthcare centers with over 9,500 beds, 36 homecare programs, 7 independent living centers and 16 assisted living centers. Regularly managed over sixty malpractices and personal injury claims. NHC’s other services include managed care specialty medical units, Alzheimer’s units, long-term care pharmacies, hospice and a rehabilitation services company. Also General Counsel and Board Member for our growing psychiatric division. Primary responsibility for four Qui Tam litigation matters.
