Daily Duties at Career Education Corporation:
Directed schools and Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Leaders in identifying potential areas of non-compliance within the area of Career Services for all Regional, National, and Programmatic accreditors. OPERATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS: Closely monitored and applied all political and regulatory body changes, including changes in law, to remain compliant in an ever-changing environment. Served as the Chairperson of the Corporate Advisory Board; spearheaded development and implementation of Career Services policies, forms, and processes to ensure accuracy and integrity. Created standardized written policies and procedures to resolve areas of inefficiency and non-compliance in Career Services, using data collected by the field Directors of Regulatory Operations, independent external audits, internal audits, and by performing periodic reviews of employment data. Maintained effective relationships with vendors to perform external employment verification, coordinating corrective action needed to address any irregularities identified in the verification data. Cultivated strong, collaborative relationships with Leaders, addressing training needs, staff and professional development, and providing policy clarification. Created and executed training, internal assessment tools, and external verification to ensure an accurate interpretation and implementation of the policies across the company. COMPLIANCE ACHIEVEMENTS: Reviewed and updated the Career Services Declaration to ensure accurate expectations of employees. Acted as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the schools were being properly investigated, resolved, and reported Corporate Leadership. Partnered with inside and outside Counsel, providing support and testimony in legal matters as the Career Services Subject Matter Expert to mitigate on-going litigation concern and risk.
