Daily Duties at Textron Corporation:

Held full responsibility for leading and managing all plant maintenance, new construction operations, facility systems and assets, team management, projects, budgets, contract negotiations, safety compliance and emergency planning. Directed a large multi-disciplinary team of employees, consisting of custodial, facility, and technical maintenance personnel over three facilities. Utilized computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track maintenance schedules and work orders, establishing priorities for maintenance based on the statuses of facilities, systems, and equipment. Championed reliability through predictive and preventive maintenance activities over reactive practices. Led industrial construction, expansion, and capital installation projects. Provided leadership and oversight over all project activities, including budgets, labor allocation, project operations, and equipment coordination, as well as led all vendor procurement and subcontracting. Directed the purchasing of capital equipment, materials and services, tasked with efficiently and effectively evaluating and screening bids and suppliers. Key Duties & Achievements: • Took several multimillion dollar new construction and expansion projects from architectural planning, through permitting, bidding and into construction (Projects halted due to Hurricane Katrina). • Continually reviewed project statuses to resolve any problems regarding safety, quality, scheduling, regulatory compliance or other related issues.
