Daily Duties at Vinyard & Sons Inc.:
Led as Owner, Operator, and Project Manager for a large 100+ employee construction company, Vinyard & Sons, responsible for managing all service provision and business management. Specialized in providing oil and natural gas drilling and production services, as well as demolition, renovation, and new construction project services for both private industrial as well as state and federal government infrastructure projects. Met first hand with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to establish plans, specifications and designs, and to develop pre-construction project scopes of work. Managed and tracked time allocated to project schedules, as well as all subcontractor work installations. Inspected and reviewed projects to ensure HSE, OSHA, and EPA regulatory compliance. Additionally served as an estimator, tasked with performing estimates and verifications of construction designs and costs. Key Duties & Achievements: • Successfully estimated and managed several multimillion dollar private, as well as state and federal projects. • Oversaw heavy equipment demolition contracts during the post-Hurricane Katrina recovery period in Louisiana. • Utilized entrepreneurial expertise to execute all business planning, P&L management, sales, project bids, contract negotiations, human resources, crew hiring, accounting, and regulatory compliance. • Developed and managed strong relationships with clients and all other project stakeholders, using these networks to expand and develop new business.
