Daily Duties at Coventry Health Care Inc.:
Principal Health Plan was bought by Coventry Health Care in 2,005. At the time there was no specialized team to take on the responsibility to migrate the Principal Health plans into the Coventry’s system. I was one of the handpicked Analysts to create a brand new team specializing on migrations. I was placed as the Group/AR/ Premium Billing analyst. I had to learn the Coventry’s business system set up from A to Z, how to enter a member, figure out how benefits worked, how rates where entered, how to fit premium billing to meet requirements, how to set up AR, as well as the monthly reporting that would go along with Finance. As well as create system enhancement requirements to meet the incoming business needs. After a year of training, testing, report writing and acquiring business approvals, we delivered the first Health Plan migration into the Coventry’s platform successfully and accurately. We successfully migrated over a million member's data from the old to the new system.
