Daily Duties at Sarah Lawrence College:

As a member of the renowned writing faculty, I taught two poetry workshops every semester which included reading contemporary poems and instructing students on various aspects of craft and demystifying the aura of difficulty around both the reading and making of poems; that poems can be as accessible or as complicated as the person writing them. The job also required me to have 30-minute conferences with each student every week to discuss, obstensibly, the poems they were writing and reading, but many times, students came unprepared or in the middle of an emotional crisis and I found myself acting as both an academic advisor and deep listener to some of the more personal issues that were affecting their performance in academia, generally.

What they like about Sarah Lawrence College:

You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.

Climbers who worked at Sarah Lawrence College had these interests:

Books
"Does Anyone Hate Donald Trump More Than Donald Trump? An Intervention" by David Shields Shields is a brilliant essayist. This is a book of mostly fragments that Shields basically collected a put in an order to support his hypothethis.
Magazines
The New Yorker Probably the only weekly magazine I keep up with. The non-fiction is particularly astute and the best of its kind except for some journals like the Paris Review, Tin House and Ploughshares--all of which I also read.
Websites
The Guardian

Best newspaper, in my opinion, online.
Twitter

I read it for a couple of really smart people about politics and art.
LinkedIn

I use it a lot more than I used to -- for job leads and to congratulate people on promotions etc.
