Daily Duties at At&T:

Network Planning, Design, Equipment Engineering and Budget Management • Cell site backhaul network planning and engineering for Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Puerto Rico and USVI. • Supported business case justifying funding of $56M for Ethernet/IP cell site backhaul conversion in 960 deferred cell site locations companywide to improve mobile experience for above 900,000 customers by categorizing economical and operational benefits of deferred transport projects and preparing Power Point presentation for VP level management. • Planned, designed, developed and administer IP microwave network solution with above 46 Alcatel Lucent Multi Service Switch (MSS) routers in US Virgin Islands (Saint Thomas, Saint Croix and Saint John). • Designed, order and deployed 70 EVC/VLAN circuits and 3 10GE optical drain collector circuits using microwave and/or fiber to aggregate voice, video and data traffic for 30 cell sites, serving 50,000 mobile customers and two retails stores in US Virgin Islands. This IP network backhauls mobile traffic to MTSO in Puerto Rico using AT&T subsea fiber cable network. This unique transport network setup is considered one of the more complex in AT&T. I am considered the subject matter expert regarding Puerto Rico and USVI network. Awarded with AT&T Key Contributor Award due to outstanding achievement in this project • Converted above 2,000 TDM GSM backhaul circuits to Ethernet/IP for all 500+ cell sites in Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands by upgrading 24 TDM microwave paths to Ethernet radios and integrating 900+ Ethernet leased circuits. First AT&T market to complete this goal. Awarded with AT&T Key Contributor Award due to outstanding achievement in this project. • Delivered 16 T1s to support two USVI retail store voice and data traffic to the IT network in Puerto Rico. • Generated $3M annual savings by cancelling 55 low filled circuits by performing grooms and network clean up. • Projects – ATM Decommission project, GSM EoMW migration, MW Decommission project, Centennial Transport Integration, Sigtran migration, CBB migration.
