2nd Grade Teacher / 3rd Grade Teacher • Teaching experience in primary grades (2-3) with familiarity of state mandated tests • Incorporating multimedia technology into the curriculum with the use of Power Point presentations, LCD projectors, Laptop/Computers, & an ELMO to enhance student interest • Effectively collaborating across grade levels to share best practices & engage in professional development to create a curriculum meeting students’ academic needs in all core areas: literature, math, science, & social studies • Creating long-term plans, supplemental materials, & standards based tests & quizzes to promote student achievement • Driven to use student data to guide classroom instruction from a teacher created Friday Skills Test on a weekly basis • Writing successful grants to bring over $13,500 of instructional material into the classroom using Donorschoose.com • Aiding in Multi-Cultural Day to celebrate cultural diversity, inter-community relations, & broaden global perspectives • Assisting in coaching participants for the school’s 2nd Annual Talent Show (a PTA Fundraiser)
