Daily Duties at Kipp Los Angeles College Preparatory School / Lausd:

• Actively supporting school when awarded as the first LAUSD public middle school with 2016 Blue Ribbon Award • Managing over 17+ part time staff members & a full time lead tutor in academic support, classroom management, etc. • Designated school administrator after 3pm daily • Liaison for our contracted community partnerships with YMCA, local businesses, & neighboring schools • Working to exceed 100% attendance goal to maintain $163K annual state funding for After School Programming • Annual reporting to the state aligning to 21st century goals & meet high quality standards • Meeting all deadlines itemized on monthly dashboard displayed within our charter region • Obtaining error free monthly audits conducted from our regional office & annual third party vendors • Implementing bi-monthly emergency drills for after school to ensure safety throughout the day • Managing a robust enrichment program for entire student body where every teacher helps to provide an enrichment & every student participates during the school day in: Drumline, Mariachi, Folklorico, Digital Media, Lego Robotics, Swimming, Cheer, Flag Football, Basketball, Soccer, Softball, Chess, Yearbook, Rock Band, Elite Dance, & more • Coaching classroom management strategies to ensure effective teaching is present • Supporting students’ academic success aligning to school’s academic excellence expectations • Maintaining a strong behavioral support system for students inside and outside of classrooms • Helping to build endurance & stamina in students to succeed in the state mandated Physical Fitness Test for their mile • Supporting a holistic approach to ensure all components of an active physical education is provided
