Daily Duties at Flex N Gate Corp:

Managed all aspects of equipment and building maintenance (24/7) In this automotive assembly plant for (GM Trucks) with approximately 450,000 SQ Ft. of space which includes managing 11 maintenance techs. Scheduled all Preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on all plastic welding machines, conveyors, Plastic mold injection machine ( Engel) & Robotic welders ( Denuac). Snap machines for GMC, Cadillac’s & Chevys trucks, repair of J-Clip machines, rear & front-line assembly along with a trolley system carrousel. Utilizing AS400 to enter all PO request for parts ordered & received. Payroll for maintenance crew, Manage and track all downtime of equipment and parts used monthly Developed & issued monthly reports on equipment failures & root cause issues. Managed all maintenance project duties, including installations of new equipment from GM, I do the tracking of vacations, PTO days & overtime for maintenance techs. Handle all Risk management issues, including safety and accident reports. I am involved with all hiring of maintenance techs with HR. I work closely with production supervisor on all projects and or changes needed to the plant, I have upgraded the conveyors systems which resulted in no down time on these conveyors. I am part of the team handling the re-location to a new bldg., which will be 1, million square feet, setting up systems to handle injection molding, tool & Die molds and stamping out new automotive parts, which will include interior & exterior parts. All systems are run on Allen Bradley PLC systems and automated sensors which will not allow parts to be put together without all necessary brackets, clips, harnesses & cameras. Manage all outside vendors that may be needed. I also am responsible for setting up new vendors that will be needed for parts and or repairs that may be out of scope on the maintenance techs.
