Daily Duties at Allscripts/Eclipsys:

• Researched market requirements and drove strategy and direction for the EMR/PM healthcare IT software product Allscripts PeakPractice (Formerly Eclipsys PeakPractice). Used by over 1140 providers across 400+ physician practices nationwide. • Conducted client focus groups and client design sessions for requirements gathering. • Managed Design/Clinical Content departments. • Responsibilities included all aspects of design team management such as staffing, training, yearly performance reviews, and employee career development. • Coordinated software development across departments such as engineering and QA to establish software release plans and timelines. Reviewed and managed all designs prior to building. • Prototyped designs, wrote functional design specifications, and conducted functional verification testing on all completed design projects. • Researched, interviewed, and selected third party software vendor solutions to integrate into the software application to provide additional solutions and product flexibility. • Provided finished product demos and training for prospective clients and business partners. • Analyzed government regulatory requirements around electronic medical record software including ARRA, CCHIT and implemented changes in the software to meet standards.
