Daily Duties at Ann Arundel County:
Interpreting and administering state, county and federal laws for billing services, including tax billing, utility billing, debt collection, revenue collection, cash collection and/or customer service unit. Monitoring expenditure billing function; review and approves invoice for payment; ensures proper allocation of expenditures fund or allocated among multiple funds; reviews expenditure report, prepares tracking and summary reports and transfer funds as required. Maintain knowledge of accounting systems, billing system and bankruptcy system, tax systems relative to bill processing, Funding, collection and control while improving operation. Developed strategic operation plans and business plan to generate revenue. Interfaced directly with key internal and external decision makes to conceptualize solutions that maximized efficiencies a reduced cost. Monitor online payment, (e.g. Wire transfer, credit card, ACH, while monitoring final preparations of the payment and journal entries for month-end closing Authorized as an alternate to sign for checks and disbursing to other colleague and offices. Work closely with the controller concerning any general ledger matters or Simi-annual report requests. Coordinate with the billing department managers to implement processes and policies that contribute to accurate invoicing while providing exceptional service by monitoring accounts for accuracy and resolving and billing discrepancies. Analyze and solve a wide variety of complex accounting and fiscal problems, by working with my manager to implement a revenue system how to process difficult delinquent accounts. Manages the outstanding debt portfolio, including payments and any debt management function to ensure employees staying in compliance.
