Daily Duties at American Fluorescent:
• Initiated and implemented a project to save $300K in freight annually. This was accomplished by negotiating rates with the freight forwarders in addition to consolidating/coordinating shipments from three different factories to utilize and optimize container space. • Negotiated rates with carriers for all company-wide transportation; both domestic and international • Coordinated all inbound and outbound shipments, including LTL, FTL, Inter-modal, Air and Small parcel • Prepared required Customs documentation for international shipments both import and export • Analyzed all items to determine HTS classification and NAFTA eligibility • Created and maintained a stocking plan for the 4 national distribution centers. • Ensured quality customer service and satisfaction in 4 regional distribution centers while maintaining balance between providing the service and the cost of delivering that service. • Implemented cycle count program and performed reviews of external warehouse inventory
