Daily Duties at Golden County Foods:
Supervised Quality Assurance and Lab Technician’s daily operations; mentored teams on job/food safety, personal protective equipment, good housekeeping, slips, trips, and fall hazard awareness. Communicated goals including quality, product specifications, and company policies, industrial safety/hygiene, and quality standards as well as recording USDA data points. Ensured compliance to policies, safety standards, good manufacturing practices, and union guidelines as well as product quality to meet customer satisfaction goals. Coordinated with lab on sample testing. Reviewed equipment tolerances. Maintained and disseminated reports; liaised with USDA Auditors; assisted in preparing plants for audit inspections. Conducted monthly plant audits in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) and OSHA standards.
