Daily Duties at Ciber Inc./State Farm :
Provided problem resolution while identifying root cause for all issues. Created and modified knowledge items for future use by TSM administrators. Managed the 12 Corporate TSM servers connected to 6 StorageTek L700E libraries using EDT/Gresham and ACLS in a shared library manager environment. Performed troubleshooting on all TSM servers and all StorageTek Libraries Managed EST/Gresham and ACLS for drive sharing and tape management. Managed 35,000+ nodes running W2K/UNIX and Linux Operating Systems I am one of an 11 member team of administrators responsible for 80+ AIX TSM servers with various shared IBM 3584, STK L700E IBM 3494 Quantam VTL and Netop libraries. Managed 28 regional offices with their own IBM 3466 TSM servers with 3494 libraries. Adding, removing tapes. Updating storage pools. Changing/updating schedules. Adding/removing nodes. Creating/removing/updating schedules. Troubleshooting failed drives/processes/backups/sessions. Monitoring for terminated nodes/incorrect node registrations. Terminating nodes where applicable. Data migrations. (Migrate data from OC local drives to SAN) SAN troubleshooting with EMULEX LP7000 cards. Task implementation for change records. Change record coordination. Managing TSM Server databases and recovery logs. Managing TSM Server storage/copy pools Updated W2K3 Server Issuances via Application Loader/ provided problem resolution of any failed issuances. TEK SYSTEMS/SIEMENS BUSINESS SYSTEMS – Rolling Meadows, IL VERITAS Net Backup Engineer, February 2004 to December 2005 Responsible for troubleshooting failed backup issues including but not limited to configuring clients Responsible for performing on demand restoration of files Prepared and processes offsite tape media Responsible for Northeast and Southeast Client Regional reporting of daily backup status Assisted with the support of over 5k client nodes Adhered to change management policy and procedures
