Daily Duties at Tech Mahindra/Ge:
Faciliate Shift Lead meeting Delegate assignments for shift Monitor incidents and changes via Service Now Resolve all backup failure issues as it pertain to EMC Avamar,Data Domain and Netbackup Fulfil request for Data Restoration. Follow ITIL standards for Server and Change Management Manage server environment via NetBackup Command Line, ADIC Tape Libraries, Unix System Administration and NetAPP VTL Configue EMC Networker server and EMC data domain and VBA Configure CommCell and its allied media agents Configure CIFS and NFS shares from strorage boxes Capacity Planning-Backup data growth planning and procurement Identify opportunities for improving system performance with optimization of backup timing and minimizing errors Performing bare metal recovery and other restores for operations Managing MSSQL database backup and restore through NMM and Database agents Configuring schedules, storage policies and resource pools for backups Configuring storage resources and media agents in Commcell On-call support as needed
