Daily Duties at Johns Hopkins University School Of Nursing:
Provided internal research support for a 5 year National Institutes of Health Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) funded case-control study exploring intimate partner violence prevalence and incidence in US Virgin Islands (PI: Jacquelyn C. Campbell, PhD, RN, FAAN) ● Conducted informed consent, danger assessments, and patient recruitment in JHU affiliated outpatient OB-GYN clinic ● Provided research associated case management to all participants with screens on danger assessment and basic intake forms ● Administered validated psychosocial surveys measuring IPV and associated mental and physical health symptoms for at least 50 adult female patients ● Maintained excellent oral and written communication with the team to effectively fulfill goals and timelines ● Utilized Audio Computer-Assisted Self Interview (ACASI) in safely collecting sensitive data and promoting interview privacy ● Conducted and analyzed data using multivariate logistic regression models and mediation analysis (N=864) using STATA 11 IC ● Presented preliminary quantitative analysis findings at national public health conference (103rd American Public Health Association National Meeting in Washington, DC, 2010)
