Provides resource planning and monthly reporting to management team Performs Federal grant closeout procedures and obtains documentation from departments to satisfy information needed by FEMA and the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) for reimbursements and project closeout Analyzes information by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying financial information Researches procurement issues to ensure FEMA requirements have been satisfied Submits reimbursement for expenses incurred but never submitted to FEMA Provides information pertaining to grant-related and financial questions by researching and interpreting data from the Louisiana Public Assistance (LAPA) website Utilizes forensic accounting skills to locate FEMA-eligible expenses within multiple Accounting applications Maintains shared drive with copies of all pertinent Project Worksheet (PW) documentation and requests reimbursement to the LAPA website Reviews expenses to determine eligibility to currently obligated PWs and to determine if applicants are eligible for FEMA Assist applicants with FEMA Closeout process by educating applicants on all applicable rules, procedures and policies Conducts audits to provide Government assurance that the prices and costs are allowable, allocable, and reasonable
