Daily Duties at Countrywide Home:
Had a staff of 8-10 Sales Reps (Home Mortgage Consultants) and an operations staff of 6-8. Staffing requirements often caused fluctuations in the numbers. All reported to me. Recruit, Hire, and Train new employees, educate the existing staff on any changes in compliance with Federal and/or Company Regulations, monitor progress on staff, initiate Performance Improvement Plans, Terminate when necessary. Review P&L and optimize returns, set projections, budgets, and all the mundane work associated with that kind of management. In addition, I was to produce home mortgage loans AND manage the branch. We were in the top 5 in Florida for profitability while I operated the store. Shortly after I left, the company was bought out by Bank of America.
