Daily Duties at Georgia Pacific:

The Production Leader will provide expertise and leadership to drive continuous improvement of safety and compliance, quality, cost and reliability. Lead human and equipment resources across the Printing Department to ensure operation of the wide web flexo press and web slitting processes meets established objectives including safety, quality, reliability, and cost. Supervise printing personnel and coordinate production efforts that drive improvement efforts in all associated work processes affecting EHS, compliance, reliability, quality, production, and costs. Provide technical support to Printing Department, including problem-solving and project management. Manage production schedules and all materials ordering and inventory control for paper, ink, pre-press materials, and work in progress materials. Support the lead technician in development and implementation of skill development work processes. Interface with marketing teams to achieve print design changes that meet customer goals. Network with paper, ink, and press suppliers as well as other Dixie facility print personnel to identify opportunities to improve reliability, safety, and cost. Work with the Sr. Production Scheduler to optimize press schedules to achieve Cup Forming goals.
