Daily Duties at Centurylink:
Serve as the technical lead on the account team, responsible for technical and business requirements, discovery, proposal preparation support and technical presentations to customers for CenturyLink’s full suite of products and solutions. Subject matter expert for: Security, Cloud, telecommunications, data networking, hosting, Virtualization, managed services and CPE solution design/engineering/consulting and architecture review. CenturyLink Cybersecurity Team SME • Responsible for the communication of security advancements and technical updates on Centurylink product and process to peers and sale team members regionally. • Responsible for advocating and communicating to the Centurylink Security team of product information specific to our region. • Functional Lead responsibilities concerning our product solution categories for the security team. (Ex: sales training, team meetings, customer events, provide updates, email communication, etc.). • Responsible for continual self-education training for our product solution categories. • Specialize in Hosting Product set, including Co-Lo, cloud, storage, BCP, Security, and IT transformation. • Perform customer discovery discussions to understand and document business needs and design requirements necessary for the formulation of optimal Data, Hosting or Cloud solutions. Creatively design solutions for customers using the best mix of CenturyLink, CTS and vendor-partner products. • Determine client requirements and provide designs for Managed Hosting Services, Cloud, Virtualization, Outsourced infrastructure solutions (managed and un-managed), specialized Enterprise application suites. • Build relationships with customers by serving as the technical liaison from pre-sales to post-sales, with the goal of being the customer’s trusted advisor. • Pre-sales design and implementation expertise in CPE and Enterprise/WAN service integration. • Create documents, via diagrams and writing, and present the solution to the customer, describing the benefits of the solution. • Responsible for growing a strategic relationship through proactive engagement with customers.
