Daily Duties at Boyd Gaming Sam's Town Hotel & Casino:
Responsibilities included supervising multiple departments consisting of a staff of 78 supervisors, leads, and specialized maintenance and engineering technicians on a 24/7 basis. Recruiting, staffing, and evaluating all existing as well as new employees. Responsible for forecasting, establishing and maintaining budgets; monitoring and overseeing the performance of the departments through using the “HOT SOS” work order and PM program (logging approximately over 4000 maintenance repairs annually); authorizing and approving purchases; bidding, contracting, and negotiating work on improvements as well as maintenance work; energy management; maintaining and improving the physical plant, and extensive kitchen remodels.
